We traveled to Buffalo, NY to cover the wedding of Lisa and Patrick on a chilly November morning. Luckily their venue, the unique and beautiful Karpeles Manuscript Library and Museum, had plenty of lovely spots for indoor pictures (though we did venture out into the cold for a few since they were such good sports). Lisa's are some of our favorite dramatic bridal portraits taken in front of some large windows on the second floor of the museum. The venue featured a ton of glowing string lights under the high ceilings that really provided a special background for many of their photos. Halfway through the reception, Lisa changed into the cutest white cocktail dress so she could really move and enjoy the evening. I really love little surprises like these. I think they really liven up the wedding gallery and add some fun variety. We hope we get the chance to shoot at this cool venue again. The upper level was undergoing some remodeling and I'm sure it'll only improve the antique-romantic aesthetic.
