Braeden

I went to visit young Braeden today for some candid portraits and had a great time chasing him around from room to room. His parents have a great house for pictures because every room is a totally different color.

You just can't beat sticking the 50mm in a kid's face. It's at f/2.8 in this shot which keeps most of his face in focus but lets the rest go all nice and smooth.

He looks like I busted him doing something wrong here.... he was fun to photograph because he basically went on a high-speed tour of all his toys and activities. The lighting is great in the Merrells' house, and all the pictures in this shoot had that great soft window light.

For example! Look at that light... whenever a picture ends up looking like a painting, I'm happy.
