Gracie and Hugo

My friend Gracie had me over to do pictures of her wild dog Hugo... we had a great time, but we definitely got a workout trying to wrangle him. We started with some quick kitchen shots, with mixed results (both with the 50mm f/1.4D at f/2).

Not bad, but we realized we'd have to burn off some of his steam if we were gonna get much more. We took a nice sedate stroll around her South Wedge neighborhood (by which I mean she held him back as he tried to escape and I snapped pics).

The first pic is the 50mm again... the second one is an ultra-wide shot with the 20mm f/2.8D I like the 20mm, but it takes a fair amount of postprocessing when you shoot raw. It's pretty dark wide open with extreme vignetting.

We got back and tried for some calmer pictures of Huge. He settled in pretty well and we got a couple more winners to finish the night.

Looking good! The first was with the Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8D and the second was another 50mm shot. Thanks Gracie for having me!
